Titre

Lattice Boltzmann methods (LBM) promise an unconventional, perfectly parallel approximation technique for partial differential equations appearing in computational fluid dynamics and beyond. Although the method's intrinsic connection of relaxation and discretization limits promotes a simplistic implementation, it also complicates its numerical analysis. In this talk, we present novel techniques for the latter. We discuss a constructive ansatz for LBM, the indication of non-linear stability with high performance computing machinery, and limit consistent discretizations.
