How can quantum computers be used for electromagnetic simulations?

Classical electromagnetic simulations can be computationally expensive even when efficient schemes are integrated. The question that we address is whether quantum computers could be used to solve efficiently time-harmonic Maxwell equation. A strong motivation is the fact that quantum linear system solvers have shown to be promising compared to classical linear solvers. In this talk, I will give an introduction to quantum computing, and present how it can be applied to high-level numerical simulations.
